Digital self-assessment tools in Sonder
Sonder includes three digital tools to help you understand your wellbeing and find the right support. This article explains what each tool does, how to use it and what to do with your results.
Why these tools matter
Checking in on your mental health shouldn't be complicated. These tools help you take a quick snapshot of how you're doing, understand what's working and what isn't, and get personalised recommendations for support. None of these tools replace talking to a clinician, but they're a good starting point for self-awareness and help-seeking.
The Wellbeing Assessment
What it is:
A three-minute questionnaire that looks at your mental, social, and physical wellbeing. It's designed to give you a picture of what you're doing well and where you might need support.
How to use it:
- Open the Sonder app
- Go to the Wellbeing Assessment
- Answer the questions honestly (there's no right or wrong answer)
- Review your results
What you'll get:
Your results show you:
- Areas of wellbeing you're managing well
- Areas that might benefit from attention
- Personalised wellbeing content recommendations based on your results
Important to know:
The assessment is completely confidential and doesn't provide a clinical diagnosis. If your results concern you or you want more support, you can speak to the Sonder team about what it means for you.
The DASS-21 (Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale)
What it is:
A 21-question assessment that measures symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress. It helps you understand where you sit on these three scales, so you know whether talking to a clinician might help.
How to use it:
- Open the Sonder app
- Search for the DASS-21
- Answer all 21 questions (it takes about 10 minutes)
What you'll get:
Your results show:
- A score for depression symptoms
- A score for anxiety symptoms
- A score for stress
- Personalised self-help resources based on your scores
- Whether your scores suggest you might benefit from speaking to a clinician
Important to know:
Your scores show how you're feeling right now, not a clinical diagnosis. If you're concerned about your scores or want to discuss them, reach out to the Sonder team. A qualified clinician should interpret your results as part of a full assessment.
