Medical Triage and Advice
How we support members with medical concerns
If the Care Specialist determines that the nature of a member's concerns are clinical in nature, then a registered nurse will complete a clinical assessment with the member. Our nurses utilise the Manchester Triage System (MTS) for all clinical support. The MTS is a widely recognised clinical risk management tool used by clinicians worldwide to enable our clinicians to safely manage member support. Our goal is to work with the member to prioritise and categorise their needs, so they can be connected with the most appropriate support within our stepped care model.
Our registered nurses may provide direct clinical advice when it is appropriate for members to self-manage their presenting symptoms. This may also include advice for over-the-counter medication and specific in-app tools to assist with common symptoms. Advice may include specific clinical self help tools for the member or for family under their care.
Overseas Vaccinations
Members who have received vaccinations overseas may be required to supply their immunisation record in Australia. We can provide members with an authenticated vaccine certificate within 1 business day through the Australian Government Provider Digital Access for health professional online services. We will require basic personal information and the member’s non-Australian vaccine record and can guide the member through creating a ‘myGov’ user if required.
