Psychoeducation Support
At Sonder, we understand that leaders and managers often play a vital role in supporting their teams after a critical incident. To assist with this, our critical incident support includes the offer of Psychoeducation: a brief, one-session intervention led by a Psychologist.
What is Psychoeducation?
Psychoeducation is an evidence-based therapeutic approach where a Psychologist provides information, strategies, and guidance to leaders or managers. The aim is to help them better understand:
- Typical responses to critical incidents
- How to support team members effectively
- When and how to escalate concerns for additional care
Sessions are delivered online and may be held individually or in a group format depending on the needs of the organisation.
How the Process Works
- Request Received: The best way to access support is through our Member-app, available 24/7 for calls or digital chats.
- Clinical Action Created: A Sonder Critical Incident Manager will liaise with the requesting customer to gather details, key contact information and a Senior Psychologist is assigned.
- Contact from Psychologist : The assigned Psychologist will reach out within 1 business day of the request being created, in order to understand the situation and facilitate the development of the session. This is required to ensure that the delivery of each session is relevant to the expectations and circumstances that each organisation is facing.
- Delivery of PsychoEducation: A session will be booked for the respective management team within 10 business days for delivery of the PsychoEducation session.
