How to use this dashboard
The Safety dashboard highlights how members are using proactive safety features within the Sonder app.
These tools are designed to support members in situations such as travelling, working alone or moving through unfamiliar environments. The dashboard helps organisations understand how frequently these features are being used and how engagement changes over time.
When reviewing the dashboard, it is most helpful to focus on trends rather than individual usage numbers. Changes in usage may reflect increased awareness of safety tools, stronger adoption of proactive safety behaviours or recent safety communications.
Use it to inform safety strategy: Are adoption levels where you'd like them? After a safety initiative or training, did usage increase? Share trends with your safety or HR team to discuss whether additional communications or training might boost awareness. Use it as one data point alongside your other safety metrics and incident reports.
It is important to note that higher usage of safety tools does not necessarily indicate increased safety incidents. In many cases it reflects preventative behaviour and increased confidence in using the platform.
Frequently asked questions.
Does higher usage of safety features mean my workforce is less safe?
No. Higher usage often reflects preventative behaviour and increased confidence in using the platform. It may also indicate stronger awareness of safety tools following training or communications.
What if safety usage is declining?
A declining trend in safety feature usage could indicate several things: members may be less aware of the features, there's lower perceived need for the tools, or they're simply using other safety methods. Consider reviewing your safety communications or conducting a brief check-in with your team about safety concerns.
Can I use this data in safety reporting to leadership?
Yes. This dashboard supports safety governance and risk management conversations. You can use trends to demonstrate: "We launched safety training in Q2 and Check on Me usage increased 25%", or "Our travelling workforce uses Track My Journey regularly, showing strong adoption of proactive safety measures." Always frame it as a trend reflection, not individual-level data.
Can I drill down to see which locations or teams are using these features most?
You have the ability to select from the division or sub-division fields. However if there are less than 10 activated members in either, the data will not load to protect member privacy.
