Supporting your team through redundancy and restructure
Leading a team through redundancy or restructure is challenging.
What Sonder offers during redundancy and restructure
When your organisation goes through redundancy or restructure, Sonder provides support designed to help individuals and leaders feel less alone. The goal is to make support simple to access, discreet and timely. Your team has access to:
- Practical self-help resources tailored to navigating change
- Connections to mental health and medical professionals when needed
- Welfare checks if there are concerns about someone's wellbeing
- In-app programs to build resilience and coping skills
Add-on services
Beyond standard support, Sonder can arrange additional services tailored to your team's needs. These are optional and available at an additional cost.
On-site psychologist support:
Sonder can provide a psychologist to attend your location to support team members following a redundancy or restructure conversation. They can:
- Provide immediate emotional and psychological support to affected team members
- Conduct one-on-one sessions in a private space
- Should further support be required, they can assist the member on how to get further support through the Sonder app
To arrange this, open a chat or call via the Sonder app and request on-site psychologist support for redundancies. The Sonder critical incident team will provide pricing details and coordinate everything.
If you require additional support, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager who will be able to facilitate a pathway with one of our partners, this could be for Leadership Coaching or employee career transition support.
Frequently asked questions.
How long do people have access to Sonder after leaving their organisation?
If someone is no longer eligible for Sonder’s service due to their employment coming to a close, they will have a grace period and access to Sonder’s services for an additional 30 days. During this 30-day post-eligibility period, Sonder’s service will be focused on connecting the departing person to relevant community and publicly-available pathways for ongoing support. Via the chat or call function in the app, you can request to extend an individual’s access to Sonder for 90 days after their eligibility has ended.
Can responders attend on-site to support?
Our Sonder Responders are not suitable to involve themselves during the communication of employment related matters. If a traumatic workplace incident were to arise from the actions relating to redundancies, then we will provide its comprehensive critical incident support to all affected members.
