Support to Redundancies & Restructures
What support is available during an organisational structure
Sonder can provide a psychologist to attend your location to support team members following a redundancy or restructure conversation. This consists of the psychologist being available in a private space and post the member being informed of their redundancy The Psychologist will provide basic support to the individual member on that day only. Should further support be required the member will need to access this through the Sonder App and Support Centre.
Our Responders are not suitable to involve themselves during the communication of employment related matters. If a traumatic workplace incident were to arise from the actions relating to redundancies, then we will provide its comprehensive critical incident support to all affected members.
How long do people have access to Sonder after leaving their organisation?
If someone is no longer eligible for Sonder’s service due to their employment coming to a close, they will have a grace period and access to Sonder’s services for an additional 30 days. During this 30-day post-eligibility period, Sonder’s service will be focused on connecting the departing person to relevant community and publicly-available pathways for ongoing support. On request, we can extend an individual’s access to Sonder for 90 days after their eligibility has ended.
