Team Safe is a powerful new safety module in the Sonder app that gives organisations greater visibility into their people’s safety, without compromising individual privacy.
It bridges the gap between personal safety and organisational oversight by enabling optional, time-based location sharing during work activities.
How does it work?
Team Safe allows employees to share their location with a nominated contact (such as a manager) during specific safety activities; including work shifts, journeys, or scheduled check-ins.
It introduces:

Work Shift location sharing (for major events or high-risk deployments)

Location sharing during Track-my-Journey

Location sharing during Check-on-me

A Team Dashboard view for managers

Enhanced escalation pathways that include managers earlier in incidents
Importantly, location sharing is always initiated by the member, it is never “always-on.”
How Team Safe Works
Team Safe lets you share your location with a trusted contact (like your manager) during specific safety activities, only when you choose to.
To use it, simply:

Start a safety activity in the Sonder app.

Choose to share your location.
-
Select who you’d like to share it with.
Your location is then shared for the duration of that activity only. Once the activity ends, location sharing automatically stops.
If you request help or an activity escalates, your chosen contact is included in the response process.
Team Safe is always optional, time-based, and controlled by you, it is never always-on.
For Managers
If a team member shares an activity with you, you can:

See their live or last known location

View active and completed safety activities

Receive alerts if something escalates

Be contacted before emergency services when appropriate
