Understanding the Insights Overview in the Sonder Portal

Introduction

The Insights Overview dashboard provides a high-level snapshot of wellbeing, safety and Sonder engagement. It is designed to give leaders a quick view of how their organisation is interacting with Sonder.

Wellbeing

This section provides a summary of wellbeing-related engagement.

Metrics included

Wellbeing support cases

The number of cases where members accessed support for mental health or wellbeing related concerns through the Sonder Support Centre.

This metric reflects demand for wellbeing support services.

Wellbeing and DASS-21 assessments completed

The number of wellbeing assessments and DASS-21 screening tools completed by members within the selected reporting period.

These assessments help members reflect on their wellbeing and may guide them toward appropriate support.

Interpreting wellbeing metrics

Changes in these metrics may reflect:

  • increased wellbeing pressures

  • increased awareness of support services

  • stronger psychological safety and willingness to seek help

Safety

This section shows engagement with proactive safety tools available within the Sonder app.

Metrics included

Safety tool usage
The total number of times safety features within the Sonder app were used. This includes proactive safety tools such as Check on Me and Track My Journey.

Check on Me

The number of times the Check on Me safety feature was used by members. Check on Me allows members to set a timer that prompts them to confirm they are safe. If they do not respond, the Sonder Support Centre can follow up.

Interpreting safety metrics

Higher safety tool usage often reflects:

  • increased awareness of safety features

  • strong adoption of proactive safety behaviours

  • greater trust in the platform

It does not necessarily indicate increased safety incidents.

Value

This section reflects Sonder adoption and engagement.

Metrics included

Activation rate

The percentage of eligible members who have downloaded the Sonder app and completed registration. Activation indicates Sonder reach and awareness.

Utilisation rate

The percentage of activated members who have actively used the Sonder app or accessed support services during the reporting period. Utilisation reflects meaningful engagement with the program.

Interpreting value metrics

Activation and utilisation should be interpreted together. Activation shows access to Sonder, while utilisation shows active engagement with services.

How to use this dashboard

The Insights Overview dashboard is designed to give leaders a quick snapshot of how their organisation is engaging with Sonder across wellbeing, safety and program usage. Many organisations use this page as a regular check-in view to understand whether engagement or support demand is increasing or decreasing over time.

When reviewing the dashboard, focus on changes between reporting periods rather than any single number. Variances help highlight where engagement is growing, where support demand may be increasing, or where additional awareness may be needed.

If you notice a change in a particular metric, this page acts as the starting point for deeper exploration. From here you can navigate into the relevant dashboards to understand the drivers behind the trend.

Filters can also be used to explore patterns across the organisation. For example, you may want to check whether engagement is consistent across divisions or concentrated within specific teams.

Organisations commonly use this page to:

  • quickly track trends across wellbeing, safety and engagement

  • identify areas that may require deeper analysis

  • support executive reporting and governance discussions
