Wellbeing Library
2,000+ pieces of clinically reviewed content — always on, always free
The Wellbeing Library is the foundation of Sonder’s self-serve model, giving members practical support between human touchpoints, lowering barriers to seeking support and providing the ‘well’ population with resources that help them thrive.
Whether someone is navigating a difficult moment, building healthier habits, or simply curious about a wellbeing topic, the library meets them where they are - with clinically reviewed, always-available content across every dimension of health. Content engagement at Sonder consistently exceeds industry benchmarks for digital wellness platforms, and digital engagement delivers a significant reach multiplier compared to human support alone.
What is the Sonder Wellbeing Library?
Sonder’s Wellbeing Library is a curated, clinically governed collection of more than 2,000 articles, videos and audio resources. Content covers the full spectrum of health and wellbeing from everyday lifestyle topics to complex mental health and clinical guidance - and is updated continuously to reflect emerging health issues, seasonal trends, and member needs.
The library is guided by Sonder’s holistic model of wellbeing that recognises the physical, mental, social and cultural dimensions of health - ensuring members can find support that resonates with their whole-person needs.
Content pillars
Safety
Timely, accurate information about extreme weather events, public health outbreaks, scams, and data breaches. Safety content is sourced from government health departments, emergency services, and reputable news sources, and published same-day when fast-moving situations arise.
Mental health and wellbeing
In-depth articles and resources covering anxiety, depression, relationships, parenting, grief, neurodiversity, and more. All mental health content is written or reviewed by clinical psychologists and counsellors before publication, ensuring clinical accuracy alongside accessible, stigma-free language.
Non-clinical wellbeing
Practical, engaging content across lifestyle, fitness, nutrition, sleep, work-life balance, financial wellbeing, and mindfulness. This includes healthy recipes, guided meditations, fitness videos and audio relaxation sessions - both as standalone content pieces as well as self-paced digital programs.
Medical and health
Evidence-based health guidance on conditions, symptoms, medications, and preventive care. Written by Sonder’s in-house team using official government health sources, with all content reviewed and approved by Sonder’s nursing team and Medical Director prior to publication, in support of our ACHS accreditation.
Work and career
From first-time managers navigating difficult conversations, burnout prevention and imposter syndrome to psychosocial safety and the pressure of frontline and shift-based roles; this content is practical, psychologically grounded, and built for the full spectrum of how people experience work.
Why it matters for your workforce
Members who engage with the Wellbeing Library show significantly higher retention and app usage than those who don’t. But beyond the numbers, the library plays a broader role: it makes Sonder relevant to every member, not just those in crisis. For the majority of your workforce who are ‘well’ on any given day, it’s a place to build resilience, explore topics they care about, and develop the habits that prevent problems before they arise, making Sonder a platform people return to, not just reach for in an emergency.
FAQS
How is Sonder’s content sourced?
The majority of Sonder’s content is written by an experienced in-house team of journalists and subject matter experts. All medical and mental health content is reviewed and approved by Sonder’s clinical psychologists and nursing team - and escalated to the Medical Director for complex topics - before it reaches members.
High-quality video and audio content from specialist partners enriches the library with guided relaxation, meditations, sleep stories, fitness sessions and lifestyle content.
How often is content updated?
New content is added every week, in response to member and customer feedback, search term gap analysis, seasonal themes, and customer requests.
Is content localised to different regions?
Most content is written for a global audience, but is only available in the English language. Where content is specific to Australia, New Zealand or the UK, it is targeted to that region only, using the member’s device location to detect relevance.
How is content discoverable for members?
- Personalised content cards. ‘Spotlight’ and ‘Recommended’ carousels surface high-value content based on member interests and behaviour.
- Themed content hubs. Articles are tagged with a rich keyword taxonomy and aggregated dynamically into topic hubs (e.g. sleep, anxiety, financial wellbeing) containing 5–150 articles each.
- Push notifications. Hero content is promoted to members via pre-scheduled engagement pushes (up to twice weekly).
- Wellbeing Assessment recommendations. Members who complete Sonder’s Wellbeing Assessment receive personalised reading recommendations drawn from the library, matched to their identified risk areas.
- Monthly newsletter for members. Eligible members receive a monthly, themed email newsletter featuring seasonal wellbeing content.
Wellbeing isn’t a moment, it’s a practice. Sonder’s Wellbeing Library is designed to support that practice every day, for every member, wherever they are on their journey. By providing a rich, always-on resource that is relevant to people who are thriving just as much as those who are struggling, it shifts Sonder from a crisis tool to a genuine wellbeing partner - one your workforce returns to by choice, not just by necessity. That ongoing engagement is what drives utilisation, retention, and ultimately the workforce wellbeing outcomes that matter most to your organisation.
